    <description>&lt;P&gt;My mother just switched to EE. Being 91 she opted for an engineer install. The internet works fine, she can connect to it from her PC, and I can RDP into her PC .&amp;nbsp; HOWEVER we are unable to connect to the Hub admin control panel. We have tried the default 192.168.1.254 in the web browser but there is no response. I have used ipconfig to confirm this address is the default gateway and DHCP server. The hub also does not respond to a ping on this address.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Is there some sort of lockdown the engineer might have done to her router?&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;If you're still not able to access the hub manager, I recommend restarting all of your equipment and trying again. Let us know if it then works.&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;a href="https://community.ee.co.uk/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/4934755"&gt;@MortonWest&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp;- where are you RDP'ing from? If remotely, then I assume it's been possible at some point to access the control panel in order to configure the port forwarding rule?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The hub should definitely respond to pings from the local network. If a restart doesn't help then it feels like something local. There's no VPN software or anything like that in play is there?&lt;/P&gt;</description>

So yes I'm effectively using a VPN, but there was no need to open any ports when she changed ISP.&amp;nbsp; (She is also not set up to use a different exit node so outbound connections for her are still local.)&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Regards&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;Morton&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Ok, sort of solved it.&amp;nbsp; After doing the restart suggested by&amp;nbsp;&lt;a href="https://community.ee.co.uk/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/335905"&gt;@Christopher_G&lt;/a&gt; and still not being able to connect I configured a Tailscale subnet router on her PC so I could continue to try things from my end without the RDP step.&amp;nbsp; I was immediately able to ping the router and then login from my end.&amp;nbsp; No idea why she can access public internet sites from her PC but not local ones, but that's a problem for another day.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks All&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp; Morton&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
