Hi both, still contracted with BT.

I was just hoping to upgrade the router. And buy the extender to boost the signal really.

We are on a great offer of around £70 a month than for lots of stuff. But it's just crap that since day one the signal has been awful. I don't buy many games but when I do it's silly the WiFi stuggles to reach around 20 metres away from the router.

I never had this issue with sky in 2007 all the way until sky brought out SKY +HD that's when the signal for WiFi dropped massively.

hi all.

Is the above a simple swap over. ive been with BT for just shy of 3 years. The broadband has been awful since day 1 in my small property. 20 metres away from the router the WIFI is rubbish, for example to download a 129GB update the PS5 suggested 79 hours, however i brought to console to the router and got 5 hours to update.

Im wanting new router, and i guess the extender would be needed too. gone are the days wifi signal used to be good, circa 2007.

TIA

You should speak to an BT Guide to see about the transfer to EE and what they can and will do for you!

@RSmark84 Would forget it all. you will have an issue with your BT app trying to deal with an EE Router that it knows nothing about, but you should look at getting a couple of BT Complete smart WiFi disks to addon to your existing system, that will take care off boosting your wireless around the home, and still give you control over everything using the BT app! Bit unfortunate but they only work with the BT Smarthub2 but i think that is what you would have! Loads off second hand ones out there also if you wish to go down that route!

Complete Wifi | Wifi Extender & Booster | BT
