You could have a cable fault or anything but unless you check at the EE Router that's the place to get the best speed's for checking! The wireless extender relies an a good signal from the EE Router, if it's hanging on by a thread then speed will just not be good at it!

There is no speed test in the web interface to the EE Router, it's only available in the EE app for checking!

I have been using ee for a while now it wasn't as fast to begin with but recently it has gotten so slow to the point I can't watch basic things like netflix or YouTube on the TV when it's 1 room away from the box it gets slower than 1 Mbps speeds and I have tried a lot of things to fix it including going on the ee hub but still nothing fixes it and the gaming delays go up to 1118 ms which is around 11 seconds of delay

The simple test is do something in the room where the EE Hub is, speed test there for all intense and purpose you could have a 2' thick wall between the Hub and the other room that wireless wi-fi just cannot get through, "if it's not been a great to start" with what has EE CS said about it when you called or had tested with them! EE Router from power Off to On up and connected should be NO more than around 5mins to connect and online! So 30mins is excessive!

https://ee.co.uk/help/broadband/getting-started/compare-our-range-of-broadband-hubs

Smart hub plus router it is about 25 feet away from the extender I am using with 1 very thick wall in between and then I am using Ethernet to connect to my PC bcz the cable isn't long enough for the router the speed is barely faster than in the same room as the router. The router is not under my name because of me recently moving in but ee hasn't done a speed test I'm just unsure why it was like 10 Mbps before and all of a sudden it's less than 1 Mbps and this is a long time after when it stopped working

Welcome to EE's Home Broadband Forum.

You'll never get 10 Meg on that line, 5.5 Meg max.

If you would like help with your BB speed or connection issues, please would you carry out the following steps for starters, which will enable us to diagnose the problem and advise you further. Do not restart your router to do these tests:

1. Post your full router stats:

For a SmartHub: login and go to Advanced Settings > Technical Log > Information. Obscure your names & any numbers in the BB Username & also the SSIDs. Also post the Home > Status page.

For a BrightBox: login and go to Advanced Settings > System > DSL Status. Also post 'System Uptime' from top of System Log page.

For other routers: login to it according to the label on it as the admin user & navigate looking for its router/connection statistics.

Full router stats are key to any speed & connection issues.

2. Try a speedtest, preferably wired using an Ethernet cable supplied with the router, here http://www.thinkbroadband.com/speedtest.html . Click on the "Results Page" button at the bottom of the graph you first see and then copy to here just the "Link to this result:" link that you see below the next main graph.
