topic Any way to speak to a human in EE broadband support today (Jan 1st)? in Broadband & Landline

I got a text message today (1st Jan) from EE to call them about my EE order "to confirm some information". But no matter what options I try, I end up with an automated "office is now closed" message. It's a legit message as it's from the same number as other EE texts about the order, and has the right number to call.

OpenReach are meant to be coming tomorrow, so concerned that if EE don't get the info they need to today there might be an issue.

I got through to someone in the mobile phone dept. ( I have a SIM with EE as well).

They tried calling through to broadband dept. and said they were closed today.

Very odd to send me a text asking to call about it today, if there's no-one to actually take the call!

Hi @nothingmatters

I'm really not sure why you've had the text if the department is closed today.

If Openreach are due to come out tomorrow, I wouldn't have anticipated there being a problem with the order at this late stage, but just to be sure, I'd recommend giving the team a call in the morning after they open at 8am to be 100% sure.
