Wrong! It should be connected to a LAN port of the TP-Link. Hence why you are not getting any Net connection at the devices.

I have a similar issue. We have fire to the cabinet and have a Smart Hub. Unfortunately, we have a number of devices that require a static IP which the SH wont allow to be set up. I purchased a TP-Link BE9300 router with the idea of the SH being set on bridge mode and the TP Link managing all the connected devices. I switched of the DHCP and wireless on the SH. Connected the TP Link to the SH by the WAN port but can't get any internet connection.

Is there a mistake I have made or missed something. Any help would be greatly appreciated

[Mod Edit: Missing title added]

Apologies, I need a static IP on our home network for the devices not for the main modem/router Smart Hub. Our broadband plan is fibre broadband without landline and a speed of approx 40Mbps. We use Deco 5 discs to improve the signal as its a three storey property.

Hi, The TP Link is connecting to the SH but there is no internet connection, which I understand to be flowing through the SH as this SH is, from my little knowledge just there to handshake with the broadband. I have yet to connect any devices as there will be no internet traffic reaching them. I want to connect a NAS drive with external access if needed and our house is very automated with the mini server for the automation requiring a static IP along with a music server to allow speakers in various rooms. The SH has a port forwarding connection to allow external access for the house system

The TP link is connected to the LAN connection on the SH. I did switch off the wireless and DCHP on the SH. Once I get an internet connection through the SH, I will then connect the Deco 5 Discs.

Hi

No, I set up the SH about 9 months ago. I noticed a few issues recently and it appears to come from some of the devices not having a static IP. They did have a static IP when we were with BT but changed to EE about 9 months ago. I contacted EE but they can't offer a modem/router that allows a static IP with the broadband we have. There is no fibre in our area yet.
