Parental Controls not working

I really want to be able to add parental controls but the App is useless and you can't update it via the desktop. Tried calling and unable to speak tk anyone. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app but a total waste of time. Why promote parental controls when it doesn't work on a very rubbish App. Very frustrating and not fit for purpose. Anyone able to suggest a different provider?

@NAnders1 If you are able to you can also just replace and use your own third party router, many out there that do decent parental controls that do not require you to use an app, but they will give you that option also if you wish.
