topic Power Adapter in Broadband & Landline

Internet suddenly stopped working and advised by technical support that it was due to a faulty power adapter and that one would be sent out. I can still connect to the internet but after 20 minutes the connection is lost and I have to switch router off and switch it on again in 5 minutes. It’s really frustrating.

I’ve just read that it could take a week until a replacement power adapter is received which is problematic.

The question that I have is whether the power adapter provided with the TV Mini Box could be used instead. Voltages, outputs are nearly identical but don’t want to risk overloading the router and breaking it.

I wouldn't risk i! Wait for replacement.

That behaviour is typical of the SH+'s faulty PSU along with flashing green/white light. See EE Sending out Replacement Power Supplies for its Smart Hub Plus's
