I’ve had the hub replaced. Trust me I’ve done all the at home trouble shooting advices by ee. I’ve had this issue for months. I’ve been told I can leave for free. However I just want to have normal working WiFi.
is there a third party hub I can connect? That will not cause Nat 3 on ps5?

Like I say Ethernet cable does not improve the lag and delayed input.

Run the speed test below, think you are going to see packet loss and also very poor upload control on the line!

Locate the hidden test socket that is revealed when you remove the bottom half of the split faceplate (2 screws or press tabs) of your master socket. Only do this if you have a split faceplate. Do you have any extension sockets in the home even if unused? Are there any wires connected to back of faceplate of master socket?

Only if you have an active landline, try the BT Quiet Line Test (QLT), dial 17070 Opt 2, preferably with a corded phone, in the test socket with the router disconnected. If there is any noise, report it to your landline provider as a voice fault (don't mention Broadband). Often sorting out voice faults will fix the Broadband as well.

Reboot the router & plug it into the test socket using a DSL dangly micro-filter. Post the full router stats & System Uptime when plugged into test socket.

Is the issue any better?

Chat gpt has said you’re wrong.

Since you have EE FTTP with a Master Socket 5c, a DSL modem router won’t work. FTTP uses fiber, not DSL, so you need either:

EE Smart Hub for FTTP (with XR1000 behind it)

A PPPoE-capable router connected to the EE Smart Hub in DMZ/IP Passthrough

In short: DSL modem routers are for copper/fiber-to-DSL setups, not full fiber.

Given that you said you have FTTP (Master Socket 5c) with EE, here are the compatibility issues:

The Archer VX1800v’s primary interface is DSL (RJ-11) for VDSL/ADSL. Its “WAN via Ethernet” ability is mentioned, but the main design is as a DSL-modem-router. For an FTTP connection with EE, you typically don’t have a DSL line – you have fibre to the home with an ONT (optical network terminal) and then an Ethernet WAN to the router. While the Archer lets you use its Gigabit LAN/WAN port to connect via Ethernet (so in theory you could use it as a router only), using it to replace the EE Smart Hub completely may still run into issues: double NAT, FTTP authentication, or EE’s proprietary features (VoIP, TV, etc).Because EE’s Smart Hub for FTTP doesn’t support full bridge mode (as you mentioned earlier), connecting a third-party router still typically means you’ll end up behind the EE hub’s NAT unless you use tricks like DMZ/passthrough.

Is this true mate? Really not a tech guy and don’t want to waste my time getting my hopes up

Master phone sockets 5C cannot deliver FTTP. They deliver FTTC which is DSL partial fibre / copper. FTTP needs an ONT not a phone socket.

If you had Full Fibre (FTTP) your EE BB plan would be called "Essentials Full Fibre 67" not "Essentials Fibre 67".

Look at the LH wall of the below image (my set up):

You have the nearer box, probably flatter, a Master Socket 5C, which is only for FTTC.

The further box, an ONT, is only for FTTP (Full Fibre).
