Hi, following loss of my EE broadband for 5 days, I wish to understand my broadband usage as input to a backup solution. Searching EE Help I find that on the EE App under Manage, Broadband should be Device Usage to toggle on. However, Device Usage does not appear in this 'dashboard' under Broadband in my EE App. Under Settings the EE App is Version 5.69.0 (2514969). My mobile is Android version 15, One UI version 7.0. Would appreciate any feedback from the Community as to maybe why Device Usage not present.

In your online MyEE under Manage > View bill > See your full broadband bill is a link at the bottom, See your Usage, but it errors " Oops! You don't appear to be logged in. Please log-in here to access this page" when I am. It was hard to get to & not in any obvious place.

Anyway as BB is data unlimited there is no real need for reporting usage. So I suppose EE don't bother with it. For legacy EE BB there is a full daily usage report but it is fully inaccurate.

All the same they would not keep track of individual devices' usage of BB, only the BB as a whole. Your individual devices should be able to show you their own usage.

Hi, thank you for such a speedy response to my post. I've followed the path in the EE app to the full broadband bill. As you've indicated the result is basically 'no usage data given as data is unlimited'. At least it has removed that route of investigation for me.

Until we lose wifi in the home we don't realise how dependent we are on it. For me all TVs, laptop, printer, mobiles, Ring doorbell and even the BBQ (!). First time in 18 months with EE (known faulty power cable to hub; 5 days for replacement to arrive). I did speak to EE re their 4G backup (Smart Hybrid Connect), but they wouldn't give me a deal. So, the cost of £10 a month is a possible insurance policy. Alternatively, as a Tesco mobile user, I've looked at their 'Tesco Rocket Pack' where you can buy a set amount of GB data at the point of need e.g. £15 for 25GB, but would need to know which amount to buy. Is that Catch 22??

Any other ideas for wifi 'service continuity' solutions much appreciated.

Regards
