Red ended wire needs to be longer

Hello a friend of mine has just recently had all the EE fibre installed and she has a red ended cable that is too short to put the router where she wants what is that grade of cable???? So I can go and purchase one elsewhere or maybe EE provide an extra long cable for free??? from my understanding there are certain levels of high specification cable for fibre-optic routers. Any help much appreciated thank you.

Cat 5 or 6E will do.

@Smoov no it is not great, Cat5 is good for up to 100Mbps, where as the link speed between the router and ONT is 1000Mbps so the minimum you need is Cat5e.

Yeah, I should've said Cat 5E or 6 will do.
