Apologies my new paperwork says Smart Hub+ (plus)
the 2 BT WiFi discs which did work with the previous EE router now won’t work with it

Anyone with this Smart hub plus needs to pay £10 a month more for bespoke EE DISCS

I have just been moved to EE under a new contract, as I need my phone moved to 5G, they told me to do the broadband at the same time as they are all one company.. now they are sending a new smart hub plus.. but I use BT discs and they are not compatible! But I can pay 10 a month for extenders! I feel ripped off now! I will send the new hub back and keep using my old one.. is this going to be OK? Really feel ripped off here. Can I revert contract?

That said, yes the BT router works just fin on New EE or legacy EE.

Just watch out as BT often want them back, but a call to the right teams has sorted that issue out for at least one other person.

@Websponge The BT wholehomewifi disks will work with the new EE Smarthub+ but the BT Complete wifi are only compatible with the BT Smarthub2. Either hub works on the EE service but there are issues with the EE app controlling BT router at present where some of the functionality is not there yet and you will have to use it as your MyBT will be shut down. The 1.6Gb service does require the EE router to get somewhat near that speed with wireless but not on Ethernet Lan. Depending on the package smartwifi is included with up to max 3 devices supplied. You should check to confirm if it is OK to return the EE Router. Which BT Router do you have currently? link below to BT disk's. Think you may have some trouble trying to go back to BT, but let the forum know. Also link to XRaySpeX chart for what works. There are 2 versions of the BT disks. Wi-Fi 6 mesh does not depend on the router in a wired backhaul with the Router wireless disabled, so you know its all about the speed down to the Internet Broadband. Check the model number of your disk's to see what they are!

Not with the SH+. Many of the settings you'd expect a router to have are just not there under the GUI. Some are missing altogether, e.g. DNS, DDNS, Save & Restore, while others can only be set by a dodgy mobile app.

FTTC connected but fttp is now up the pole, so shortly but this all started Mar23, VM been live since Sep but would not even consider that.
