Can you seperate the wifi bands and name on ee smart hub pro

Having major connection issues with all my chromecasts since upgrading to Android 14, guaranteed google will say opt for just 5g bands, if this possible seen conflicting info saying possible on some ee routers but not all?

Not on the Main Wifi SSID but ~~I believe (there is on the SH Plus)~~ there is a separate Compatible WiFi SSID that you can also use.

Try setting up Compatible WiFi on the router under Advanced > Wireless Settings & connect your device to that.

Yes, you can specify to just have 5GHz, or just 2.4GHz, or both 5GHz and 2.4Ghz active on the compatible Wi-Fi mode.

Tried and for some reason beyond me the CCwGtv seethe the compatibility band but doesn't recognise password even though correct, think more of a update to the chromecasts OS issue as all 3 of my devices are affected.

Also see compatibility but just see ability to turn on and off the 5g other grayed out.

Some say removing the '-' or any other symbols from the Compatible SSID might fix it. Some devices don't like 'em.

You should be able the turn ON or OFF the Compatible WiFi's 2.4 GHz band.

What version Chromecasts do you have? I’ve got a bunch of Chromecasts/Chromecast Audios and they connect fine to the default WiFi network on my Pro.

Not sure you can turn off 2.4GHz on Compatible WiFi.

Have 4 of the Google tv ones inc 1 4k just the 3 I sadly updated to Android 14 having issues

Yes, I was wrong originally. Compatible WiFi comes with the 2.4 GHz band ON & you can add the 5 GHz band to it or not.

I've only one Google TV Chromecast (it's the non-4k one). Seems to connect fine. Have you tried factory resetting it and starting from scratch? No idea if mine has upgraded to Android 14 but I'd assume it's up to date as I don't do anything to avoid it.
