Which router and broadband service do you have?

Just wondering if the router has had a recent firmware update?

Spoken to customer support: No, not had much luck previously

Router: EE Smarthub Plus (a misnomer if ever I saw one) standard EE broadband (not full fibre)

Not aware of any firmware update. Current version is r3.8.11-R-1414606-PROD-83002

Only thing I can think of to contribute is that "maud" may relate to MAUD - Multicast-Assisted Unicast Delivery.

Yes I read the tread as it was the only mention of the certificate I could find and the guy had the same issue I have. However, there was no resolution so the problem is still outstanding.

As to MAUD I do not steam on my PC so I have no idea why it would come anywhere near me.

I have been asked to confirm that I have had an answer to my query, and the answer is NO.

I have discovered that at some point in the last while the so called Smart Hub has had its firmware updated and I can now enter the details of my dynamic DNS provider (from a very short list) and the relevant details. However the Status is marked as ERROR so I can only assume that this facility is still non-functional.

It still does not help determine where & why a non valid certificate, proxy.maud.bt.com, has appeared on my system.

Dynamic DNS was introduced a few firmwares back. Which Dynamic DNS provider are you attempting to use and are you confident the details are correct? I'm fairly certain I've tried them all in the past and they all work. I have seen them get stuck on a 'Connecting' status in the past but they all seemed to do what they should in the background.

Has appeared *where* on your system? Can you elaborate on what exactly you're seeing and the steps leading up to it? Certificates are typically related to HTTPS connections and I've no idea what that has to do with the configuration of the Dynamic DNS feature using the Hub Manager.

What web browser are you using? Is it perhaps trying to access the Hub Manager over HTTPS instead of HTTP?

I use ChangeIP

Details are correct as logging in using http works

Appears in several different browsers (Edge, Pale Moon, Firefox) [also two different PCs] running Windows, when trying to connect via https, when advising user using lets-encrypt certificates that they are not safe. The error ends up as 504 nginx (I am not using nginx I use apache). The error is;

This server couldn't prove that it's ??.changeip.net; its security certificate is from proxy.maud.bt.com. This may be caused by a misconfiguration or an attacker intercepting your connection.

Since no-one seems to know anything about that particular certificate I doubt that it has anything to do with ChangeIP, but hopefully someone can point to where it does come from.

Again, emphasis in bold. Connecting to what and how ? You're using Apache for what? Is there a local web server in the equation somewhere?

I think it's fairly safe to assume from the links others have posted that it's not ChangeIP. Something on the hub to faciliate the TV/content delivery plans mentioned at this link?

I run Owncloud on a Raspberry Pi and use apache as the buffer between me and the world and ChangeIP to make sure I can stay connected. I can log into the Owncloud Pi with http because it is on my own network. I do not think that this has anything to do with the invalid certificate proxy.maud.bt.com because this has only just made an appearance.

I was upgrading the operating system on the Pi and reinstalled the letsencrypt certificates, on trying to log onto Owncloud I then got the previously mentioned error.

I saw that link when searching for information on the proxy.maud.bt.com problem but since I do not use (or ever heard of) Edgeio I disregarded it. It may well be something introduced into the hub firmware but I would have hoped that if so there would be mention of it somewhere.

It does not have alexa.

Also you can not get different ring tones. Also the phones keep synchronising all the time.
