To set up a broadband but I can’t plug into master socket

I get a EE hub sent to my place now, and I found there is a master socket in my place. But I can't plug broadband into the master socket at home because the connector type doesn't match. What should I do?

@noarijwqk2isk2 which router and broadband service have you ordered.

If your master socket does not have an RJ11 socket you will need a filter, if one is not included with the router you can pick one up from many shops, or call customer services for one to be sent..

Connect your Smart Hub to your phone line

Plug the broadband cable with the grey ends into the socket marked Broadband on the back of your hub.
Plug the other end into the broadband filter supplied in the box.
Plug the filter into your phone socket.

Tip: Some Openreach sockets come with a built in filter, sometimes called a double master socket. If you have one of these, you don't need to use the filter we sent with your hub.

The problem is the wall socket only has a fibre port and no PSTN port, so I can’t connect my broadband line.

Also as per first question, what router and broadband service have you ordered?

i think I ordered the wrong router, can I get a fibre one instead of a smart phone one

the only different is the cable.

If you have fibre you need an eyjernet cable between the Openreach ONT and the router.

will be live tomorrow, and I ordered broadband, and it said”Your order is being processed. Your plan details will appear once you're all set up at home.“

What is the name of the EE BB plan are you on including its speed? Which EE router & WiFi extenders, if any, do you have (read label or post a pix)?

it's called smart hub SH31B, model : F5394-CP EE, stuff at package is fibre 36 essentials
