I’ve got the ee app and have paused the WiFi in many devices in my house yet when I check these devices they are all still connected to the internet, they all say they are paused on my app though

Have you read the last few pages of this thread?

https://community.ee.co.uk/t5/Broadband-Landline/EE-Broadband-APP-WifI-Controls-not-working/td-p/1330946

Also, depending on what the devices are, remember that you are just pausing the WiFi, be it wireless or wired access.

If the device is a mobile phone or tablet with sim card for example, then as it has access to mobile data then it will simply just be using that instead.

Also, double check your connected device list just to make sure that some are not also listed through MAC address and not IP address, it has been known for devices to be listed with both and you need to have both turned off.
