Hi, is there an update or even better a solution?

Most of my appliances cannot from time to time get a wi fi signal. Alexa however can still work.

BT box was connected via a cable but changed to wi fi to see if that solved the problem but it does not.

EE have said this is the last time they will ask Openreach to visit. If it is not fixed it is either put up or they will release me from contract.

Have you any ideas?

thanks

Mitutoyo

Not a member or that forum so will stick on this EE one.

Are you capable of having a look at the BT hub happy using the web manager to do so, using you laptop and not via a poxy mobile phone. Let me know.

Other question is do you have anything in particular out off left field from the default's that the BT Smarthub2 is setup, ie changed the ssid, changed the password as couple off examples. DO NOT wish you to do much until we see where the Router thinks it is at presently!

lol, yes. I do not understand why they have this thing about EE. Like you BT Hub, Openreach Line Plant, ask a BT forum.

Yes I think I am ok looking at the hub, I can access it via my lap top.

I may have got confused and yesterday changed the admin password.

The information posted on the BT forum suggests you have not changed the SSID from the default, so don’t worry about that. Line and signal attenuation are very high. Either you’re a long way from the cabinet or it’s a bad line. Downstream noise margin’s low though. Default is 6. That suggests a stable line. Curious.

(I’m going to poke that ant’s nest again – lol. Of course, the exchange equipment may be operated by EE).

Now everyone rated that hub super/dooper as far as everyone was concerned and just incase it was the EE/BT FW upgrades pushed out rapid late march and 1st Apr i would forgive that and out of a 10 score then would give it a 3 and that's at a push, but got well biased when EE Royally screwed up my EE Smarthub+ with the FW update to that late Feb.

Going to go down the FF reset with @Mitutoyo get a baseline, he is going to be good for about a week, then it's slowly going to head in the pear shaped way! At 264 pages logging way to much and not even sure if it has a roll over and erase of the old data.!

Pretty sure @tdmello swapped out his hub as he would have given up but as yet has not replied!

Yes, sounds like it's never had a factory reset. Good call. Always a good thing to try with the SH2. It was a good bit of kit originally but showing it's age now I think. DHCP has always been one of the flakiest I've encountered and, god knows, DHCP varies with vendor implementation at lot.
