@Jeanneypye Seems you have pressed the WPS button, if you press it again it should dwitch off.

Flashing blue light

When the WPS button on the side of your hub is pressed, the light on your hub will flash blue. This means it's waiting for you to press or select the WPS option or button on your computer or device.

I have pressed the wps button on then mini box and it is still flashing. I can't find wps on my computer. Is there a symbol?

Light is still flashing. Can't find any other wps button except that on mini box.

@Jeanneypye is it the main router where the blue light is flashing or the extender?

Have you tried just switching it off and on again?

It is the extender unit that is flashing. It has been perfect for a year
then suddenly this happened.

Same problem I have been getting - works fine for a period of time then either blue flashing light or orange flashing light - no reason for it. Pairing close by works but when moved back to place orange (or blue) flashing. Done this several times and nothing works - get frustrated, lots of cursing - threaten to buy some decent branded gear and try again next day after leaving it paired overnight next to the hub and lo behold - bloody thing works again ... for a few weeks then rinse and repeat ...

Yes my symptoms exactly. The TV from the main box works perfectly. I tried
resetting the affected TV with the wi fi code and the flashing stopped for
about half an hour then it started again. Hopefully some clever chap will
come up with the answer.

@Jeanneypye have you moved the extender close to the router and then re=pair it, either by WiFi, or by connecting the two with an ethernet cable?

Leave them linked overnight or longer and then move the extender back, but maybe a little closer to the router if possible.

I have now placed the extender right next to the router and connected an
ethernet cable. Right now it is still flashing. I will leave it overnight.

Bit confused by the references to TV? What exactly is the problem? Simply the extender not pairing to the hub (and flashing blue), or is there some sort of TV box connectivity problem in the mix too?

If we're talking the extender, is the LED blue or aqua as they both indicate different things?

If you haven't already I would: -

Power off the main hub
Factory reset the extender by inserting something into the pinhole at the rear of the device until the LED goes green (I think!)
Power the extender off
Power the main hub back on
Try repairing the extender to the hub by pressing the WPS button on each device (or use an Ethernet cable between the two if you prefer)

The light keeps flashing continuously . I finally called the EE engineer
today and ran through everything to no avail. However I believe I now have
a solution. On Sunday past we had a very severe thunder and lightning
storm. Lightning struck very close and cut the power for about 30 seconds.
Some of our neighbours had router damage. The engineer believes that this
is the problem with my mini box and he is sending a replacement.
Watch this space.

@Jeanneypye - ah, so it is a TV box you're having problems with!

Rather than use button presses on the TV Mini Box/Hub/Extender, do this on the Mini Box: -

In the menu on the TV box, navigate to Settings (bottom-left)
Select 'Broadband connection'
If you have any saved networks here, forget them
Select 'Wi-Fi Scan'
Select your EE hub/Wi-Fi name from the list of available networks
Enter your Wi-Fi password manually using the remote, being careful to respect upper/lower case etc.
Select 'Connect' (hopefully it connects to the Wi-Fi)
Select 'Done'
