I'm 500Mb broadband, which is absolutely great, but speeds to my Xbox Series X in my bedroom only reach around 180Mb max wireless. Which don't get me wrong, it's still better than the 50Mb I was getting with FTTC, but what would be better to increase the speed to the Xbox, short of directly wiring it. Would Powerline adaptors or EE Smart WiFi Plus be better? That house isn't old, it's only about 25 years old, so thick walls isn't the problem.

Many thanks

@Rossby it is not the age of the property that affects the powerline speeds.

It is the distance, so if your sockets in each room are on the same fuse you will get better speeds than if the sockets are on different fuses as the signal has to travel over both circuits.

I use them over a fairly short distance to feed a switch that then is used to connect the TV, Firestick and other devices and is fine for 4k video, not no idea how they would work for gaming.
