      <description>&lt;P&gt;You can't turn landline 1571 VM service OFF but when you dial 1571 under Personal Options (2) &amp;gt; Calling Options (3) &amp;gt; Ring Period (2) there is an option to set the ring period to Short (4 rings), Medium (7 rings) or Long (10 rings) to give time for your own answering machine to pick it up.&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;a href="https://community.ee.co.uk/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/2818"&gt;@XRaySpeX&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp;Just a heads up and do not know if it was a particular phone answering machine, but got the OP to adjust his answer machine and best was 6 rings before EE voicemail kicked in, so either a screwball machine or the extended service was not going out to the full 10, know you may miss 1st or 2nd for silent ring but 6 did seem well low.
