Hello All

I recently came to the end of a BT contract and was effectively shunted on to an EE contract, which I was initially happy to do as I had the impression BT and EE were one and the same these days. However, the EE Smart Hub SH32B appears incompatible with my BT wifi extender disc. What are my options for a similar wifi extender that would be compatible with the EE router?

I have to say, I'm very disappointed in EE thus far. Their customer service appears nothing more than a trap to get me paying premium rate for calls and texts.

Much of what you say above is how I moved from BT to EE - the same company - I felt the agent was suggesting that BT was to be re-badged completely to EE. Apparently, this is not the case. To be fair, had I known this, I would have remained with the BT package and just renewed the contract.

I do feel that I was 'hoodwinked' into accepting a new contract.

Well, I've bitten the bullet and spent £73 for a compatible EE extender from Amazon. Not at all happy about this. I'd have thought BT and EE would've been running cross-compatible kit if they'd planned to push their customers from BT to EE. It is not only wasting my time and money, but unnecessary electrical waste generated. My BT hub is less than two years old.

By the way, the EE hub appears to have a range of approx 8 metres. Poor.
