I have the all singing all dancing always connected broadband (4g hub kicks in if internet goes down)

2 days ago main hub stops working 4g kicks in,so far so good.until I phone tech support after numerous test the main hub is found to be faulty new one on its way asap( again so far so good)

now the 4g hub stops working after 4 hours.phone tech support why has it stopped all off a sudden, after being in the phone for close to 2 hours turns out because I’m getting a new hub sent out the 4g hub won’t work because it’s connected to my new hub (that I haven’t recieved ) and will only work with it.

so my 4g backup only works if the line goes down not if the main hub is faulty,so what is the point of paying for always connected if I’m only connected if the devices you send me work, surely the 4g hub should kick in and work until I receive a new hub.

false advertising false sales and pointless waste of money

Hi @Graemee

Welcome to our community.

I'm sorry to hear about all of the trouble you have had and that the back up device isn't working. Did the team say how long the new hub would take?

Lesley

@Graemee It's the nature off the Hybrid connect, it only connects and works through the existing MAIN EE router, no user interface for that Hybrid, so if they say your hub is toast then your Hybrid is a piece off no use equipment until the MAIN EE Router is up and working, connected to that Hybrid again.... It's the chicken/egg conundrum!

You should look to see if tether your phone can at least get one device up and working as you third method.

I’m not sure this is correct. I have a Hybrid device and it works with both the hub EE ‘think’ I should be using as well as older devices I have to hand 🤔

What are the lights on your hybrid unit doing?
