Well .. the new hub was aqua when he left .. I scanned the qr code from hub and phone worked. It is really weird that they both seem to be working away. I will finish my program and will switch old hub off off. See what happens 🤔 🤞

Hi

I had an open reach gentleman connect ee Smart Hub Plus to fibre. Aqua light is stable, iPlayer working, phone working and in settings WiFi is showing connected to new hub. It all seems to have worked without me doing very much at all.

This evening I did note streaming programs on tv were hanging and obviously I was expecting it all to be super fast.

Then I realise that the old hub is still in situ. So can anyone confirm .. can I just remove the old hub now or is the whole thing liable to fall over. Old hub is showing aqua as well ..

Thank you

Only 1 router is used for 1 BB connection, but perhaps you now have 2 until the old BB is cancelled. What is each router plugged into?

What is the name of the EE BB plan are you on including its speed & what was it before? What is the old router (read label or post a pix)?

OK, thanks. It would seem you upgraded from FTTC (EE Fibre or Fibre Plus) running on an EE Smart Hub to FTTP (EE Full Fibre nn) running on an EE Smart Hub Plus, but they haven't yet closed down the FTTC. So you're running 2 BB connections simultaneously.

Switch off the old router & disconnect from the BT phone socket. It may be confusing some of your devices & they are connecting to it wirelessly.

Yes, when I switched to Full Fibre EE didn't switch the old Fibre Plus off for about 3 weeks. Consequently I was able to run 2 BB connections at once but each serving distinct local networks.

Thanks! You're welcome 🙂 ! Glad I could be of assistance & trust it is now sorted.

It’s all running now .. and quickly. I wd have been up all night without a helping hand. There was one final kurffel. My tv runs off Roku Express .. it took me a while to figure out how to load that particular device. In the end I plugged a dangling lead into a port in the telly, and power came back to Roku. Then I was able to link it to the new hub. 😊
