Multiple Accounts at the Same Address

Hi,

I have a few questions regarding broadband account setup.

Is it possible to have two separate EE broadband accounts under two different account holders, at the same address, using the same router or line?

The current router was provided with an existing EE account.

Would the new account require a different device?

Does the existing account need to be cancelled before a new one can be activated?

No, it's 1 BB line per BB plan per router per MyEE account per account holder.

What are you actually trying to do? Change the ownership of an account? That is possible with satisfactory credit history.

It is physically possible to have 2 lines under separate plans at the same address but I'm not sure if EE now permits that both from EE.

I’ve recently moved into a new property where the broadband is already set up under the landlord’s name.

I would like to have the account in my own name so I can manage the internet service and billing myself.

In this case, would the best option be to request a change of ownership on the existing account?

Yes, it would be the landlord as the existing account holder who would give permission and apply for a change of ownership to you with you available to answer any personal questions.
