To maintain your "Complete WiFi" service (service package for the discs/extenders) that you had with BT, the equivalent for this on EE would be the "Smart WiFi" service.

Any discs/extenders and Hubs provided are loaned to the customer by BT and/or EE, so by not maintaining the Smart WiFi service you would have had to either return the discs or pay a non-return charge if you were to keep them (these would still remain the property of BT/EE even after paying the non-return charge), but without the service being active on your account you would be unable to get any support with them or request additional (up to 3 total) to resolve blackspots in the home.

The "Smart Wi-Fi" service is separate to the "Smart WiFi Plus" service for customers who have the EE Smart Hub Plus and wish to get the Smart WiFi Plus extenders, or the "Smart WiFi Pro" service which provides the WiFi 7 Smart Hub Pro and Smart WiFi Pro in place of your existing kit.

I have recently moved from BT to EE broadband. With BT, I had a BT Homehub and two extender discs to reach the whole house. Now that I am with EE, I still have the same Homehub and the same two extender discs - they all work fine. I note from my first EE broadband bill that I am being charged for “Smart Wifi” which seems to be an EE router and EE extender discs, none of which I have, need or want. Should I still be charged for “Smart Wifi”?

Is it not the same as BT, but EE use a different name?

The extenders were provided as part of my broadband package to I presume were lent to me. I am content to pay for Smart Wi-fi now that you have explained the situation. Thanks to you, JimM11 and Mustrum for your helpful and considerate replies.
