What to replace old BT wholehome disc with after switch to EE?

I used to use BT and had a Homehub 3 and black whole home/Halo disc to provide coverage around my house and into my garden room. I switched to EE and now have a black Smart Hub Plus which is incompatible with the BT whole home disc.

What wifi extender/access point devices are compatible with the EE Smart Hub Plus (Black)? I know the EE wifi extender is compatible but would rather pay for a device outright rather than rent one monthly.

Any advice appreciated.

@John2585 Welcome to the forum. Unused EE wifi extenders are available from a certain well known Auction site.

I would think about your options if you want to go down this route as you could purchase the Pro Router and Pro Extender instead

@John2585 Take a look at the, has been reported to been on the system with users before. The Asus RP-AX58 also worked before EE stuffed up the latest FW to the plus router. Buy from somewhere that you can return if it does not play nice.

The white "High St." BT Whole Home discs should be compatible.

@XRaySpeX Glad to see you are now putting up the "should" be but with all the people posting issue's that creep in aver time and finding that they are a problem, in theory yes but too many postings with issues.

Really? I don't see many Whole Home issues but then there are not many reported uses of them with EE routers.
