I have just transferred from BT FTTP to EE FTTP. The BT Smart Hub 2 has been replaced with the EE equivalent. It is set up and working but I used to be see all the event logs on the BT hub, the logs on the EE hub are too basic for me and I would like to make them more verbose.

This is how the hub is set at the moment which provides very basic logging.

I would like to see details of what the firewall is doing, what it is blocking (or not) etc. These details are not in the logs.

I was also able to see what the phone connectivity was doing, so whilst the setting is DEBUG the detail provided is far from it.

Anyone have instructions of how to improve the logging please? Thanks in advance.

Thanks for this. I had a feeling that might be the solution.

Cheers.

@andyd20duckcom Glad that i did not dash all your hopes, and BT Smarthub2 does not get messed up and FW destroyed further down the line. At least you will have backup/restore with it!

If you need faster etc, you can always hang an AP or Extender of one LAN port of the BT if you have one spare.
