Broadband: Installed on 7th, billed on 15th ???

Hi all,

Is this normal?.. and if so, why?

I had EE Broadband installed today, on 7th. well, I say 'installed' - they just activated it, I plugged the router in 😄

Then, after about 20 or so minutes, I got an email and txt saying that my first bill was due on 15th.

WHY?
How can I be paying a monthly fee, if the first payment is just 1 week after the activation date?

Is this normal?

You will pay a month in advance for your service and any additional charges accrued would be billed in arrears (taken on the next months bill). This is standard with most services with a contracted price that you pay for monthly.

Your bill typically generates on the date your service activates and your payment date usually follows this by a few working days. You will essentially have a Billing Date and a Payment Date some days later, with it following this same pattern for the duration of your contract.
