We have three discs as the hub is in one corner of the property. Disc 1 is paired with the hub. Disc 2 is paired with Disc 1. Disc 3 is paired with Disc 2. Is this correct or does every disc need to be paired directly with the hub?

What is the name of the EE BB plan are you on including its speed? What EE router & WiFi extenders do you have (read label or post a pix)?

Thanks. The distance between the hub and disc 3 is about 30 m - and the connection keeps dropping. Would upgrading to EE7 make a noticeable difference?

@RGMS

30m is the edge of range for the hub in optimal conditions, so that would explain the drop-outs.
Are you able to move disc 3 closer to the hub, without it losing range for users in the end location?

If not, you may want to consider an ethernet connection between Disc 3 and the hub. (The disc will favour wired mesh backhaul if connected via ethernet)

I can imagine you'll not want to run a 30m ethernet cable across the house, so you could look at using power-line adapters between the hub and disc 3, if your home electrical setup allows for it.

Once set up, you can verify the connection method by navigating to Advanced > Wireless > My discs in the Hub Manager. Just highlight the connected disc.

While Wi-Fi 7 could help, though ideally you may want to think about the possibility of moving the incoming Broadband connection to a location more towards the middle of the house, so your hub could be centralised? This would simplify your options, as well as future proofing your Wi-Fi signal throughout your home.

Ali
