Therefore it can't be paired with anything. However if the PC is set up for "File & Printer Sharing" other PCs may access that printer over a WiFi connection to the PC, but I dunno whether or how that extends to mobile phones.

To a PC?

What EE services do you have?

We print over WiFi. Sometimes the iOS share/print option is flaky, so I try the Epson app.

Does Canon have an iOS app?

Neither do we know what EE services Les has.

If he’s got BB and the PC has a WiF connection, would a USB connected printer “see” the network the phone presumably is also on?

Who knows. My desktop days are long gone.

Hi
It would be more straight forward if I was using a laptop because I could simply use the setup disc that came with the printer.
I don’t think I can use this printer with my phone or iPad maybe best to return the printer and get a laptop.
Thanks for your response.
Les
Sent from my iPad

@Profile closed : A USB-Only connected printer can't see anything other than the PC it is connected to. It is the PC that routes other device's print requests to a shared printer.
