I just renewed my contract a month ago and was asked by the operator if I wanted to keep my landline number. I said I did as I am a sole trader and that is how customers reach me.
Anyway nearly a month later we had an engineer come to the house to fix a fault with the broadband and he asked me why I’d changed my phone number. Long story short my number was cancelled without my knowledge, and so I’ve missed out on work for a month.
I’ve managed to change it back now but I wanted to know if anyone has managed to get any sort of compensation ? I’ve just had an email fobbing me off.

Do you have an EE business account or are you using an EE residential account for business?
If it’s a residential account you will probably find that business use isn’t allowed under the Terms and Conditions.

People on residential broadband & phone would complain that they were losing business if their phone wasn’t working and it’s written into the terms and conditions. With the business system you pay for different levels of service.

What's written into T&C's? Surely just no consequential loss & no SLA.

Anyway I was addressing your comment about EE a/c's.

Hi Ben,

Did they fob you off with a “global issue”?

My business landline has been down for 5 days and they didn’t communicate a single thing to me- I have no idea what the heck is going on and my business has been screwed as a result!

Complaints procedure is a waste of time…

Not sure how you resolved the issue?

Thanks in advance!
