What units are the figures give for data usage in my broadband

The Summary page is in GB over the current billing month.
The details page is in MB per day over the last 31 days.

For what it's worth! Not a lot 😉 !

I shouldn't bother with the reported BB Data Usage pages as they are widely inaccurate. They are either unbelievably high or zero! It doesn't really matter as EE BB is unlimited. You'd be better off looking at your own device's usage, e.g. Win's Settings > Network & Internet > Network Status > Data Usage. That'll even tell you which Apps used what over the last 30 days.
