WiFi booster in home

after some advice - I want to improve Wi-Fi connectivity in my home. I have just moved to EE900 mbps (prior I had BT 900 mbps with a booster box which gave me the coverage I needed)I want to purchase booster box(ex) and not rent at £7 per month. I cannot seem to buy the £100 box from the EE website and when I phoned the help desk they stated I needed to do it via the website!

How do I buy the box or are their better booster boxes for sale?

Could you please let us know a bit more about what's happening when you try to purchase your WiFi booster online; for example do you see any error messages?

Also what page is it you're visiting here?

Firstly, thanks for the quick response - I log in to the EE shop and get to the £100 booster - but there is no link to click on it and buy it

I want to buy this or any equivalent devise that will boost the Wi-Fi upstairs or across my house (preferably two devices as I read somewhere that you send up to 3 devices for £100)

Cheers @KevinABCD, if you try logging into your account and looking at your broadband plan and devices, is it giving you the option to purchase these anywhere in there?

The up to 3 devices rule is only for those that have the Smart WiFi service on their account at the £7pm and would like additional coverage than provided by the first unit that is automatically dispatched. This does not apply to outright purchases of the devices as products bought from the EE Store website are just like buying a device from a retailer with no service attached.

If you wish to buy the devices outright from the EE Store site, you would pay the set price per unit that you order. So if the price is £100 for 1, it's £200 for 2, £300 for 3 etc.

Ah, now that your screenshot has cleared (needed to be approved by a moderator before we could see it) that £100 you can see refers to the £100 "Money Back Guarantee" that customers get with the Smart WiFi service (£7pm added to your bill) if it is not satisfactory after the 3 devices are requested and deployed.

The formatting of the page seems to have not adapted correctly to the aspect ratio of your iPad, so the text of "money back guarantee" is way over to the left when it should be directly underneath the "£100". This is what has caused the confusion.

I don't believe EE sell these devices separately outside of the Smart WiFi service where they are loaned to the customer for £7pm with the customer being able to request up to 3 of these under this. This page is exclusively for giving info on the Smart WiFi Plus service and doesn't relate to buying the unit separately as EE don't offer this.

There are however third party WiFi extenders you could purchase, either through the EE Store (store.ee.co.uk) website or via another retailer, but your mileage may vary in terms of compatibility with your router and you wouldn't get any support from EE Broadband Customer Services if you had an issue with this tech.
