This is so frustrating. I spent ages trying to cancel 1571 only to be told you can’t. So i set my voicemail to fewer rings than 1571, thus disabling 1571. EE have now “upgraded” voicemail 1571 without informing me so that it cuts in after 7 rings. Results we have missed four voicemails (important) and can no longer use analog. S as my husband has alzheimers and can neither remember 1571, nor get to the phone fast we are routinely missing calls. Insult to injury, to return a call from voicemail is now charged for. Apparently you can now switch voicemail off but only through the app. I can’t get into that facility either. I can feel another three hour call to ee coming on. And then a change of provider. Discrimination against disability

Since transferring to EE and having digital phone set up by a EE Engineer, we seem to have lost our answerphone service, is this normal or am I not doing something obvious? Thanks

Hi @Alan222 Welcome to the community, is it possible your calls are being picked up by voicemail before your answerphone? Voicemail is activated by default and is set to 7 rings.

Dial 1571 to see if you've any new messages. Voicemail can be turned off in the EE app if you'd prefer to use the answer phone on your handsets.

Thanks

Hi guys, thanks for your answer which I have tried to do, I installed the EE App and found digital phone however the app says "unable to load data, try again" it is still not working two days after I initially tried. I assume I will be able to switch off voicemail and get answerphone back in this particular app?
