Hi,

Openreach say FTTP is now available to order. I have confirmed this with some other broadband providers.

However, EE say it is not available, both on their site and via a call to 150.

Can I do anything to speed up the process and get them in sync, or is it just a waiting game?

Openreach do this when they complete the physical completion of the fibre, and fail to consider the connection to the internet service provider equipment in the main exchange.

However, if you keep your eye on the BTW DSL checker it will show when WBC FTTP is available, and also look at the text to the right of the table and below for more info on how it is likley to be installed.

https://www.broadbandchecker.btwholesale.com/#/ADSL

Use the address checker tab if you don't have a phone number.

Or search BB providers to see when they start to come on stream to you postal address.

If they threaten early termination charges or say it is not possible, then there are ways round it if you speak to the right Customer service staff.

You will see this line appear:

At the moment while OR may have made FTTP physically in place they haven't yet released it to their ISPs for sale via BT Wholesale. The Fibre from other ISPs won't be from OR but from other networks like CityFibre.

@MadeInYorkshire So it's looking like OR are ready for full speed's, some off the BB ISP's like Sky etc are ready to give you gigabit speed, but BTW are still behind or hopefully not going to restrict you to max 330Mb/s, this can be Exchange side, oversold on max and EE etc will be only offered that speed, would be worth having a look at say Vodafone on the BB side to see what they offer, DO NOT use sky as a ref as they can have there own side and agreement's with BTW. Also take a quick look if BT offer up to gigabit also. HTH
