Internet down in Ealing since 4am

I’ve just switched from BT to EE and not sure if I made the right decision.

I found out the internet was down in my area in the middle of the night around 3,4am, and the status checker suggested the expected fix time was 12:47pm. My partner and I both work from home. She made the right call to go into the office. And now the expected fix time is delayed to 3pm.

BT used to share their public WiFi and offered a portable router during down time, and I not sure if EE would match the experience.

I read that EE will compensate when the down time is over 2 working days (but why working days only? Odd imo) and I truly don’t want to left with no internet over the weekend. Does EE actually work fast to fix? What’s the general experience?

It really depends on the fault to be fixed, as to how long it can take, so have no idea, but if you have signed up to receive notifications, then you will be kept up to date.

@ccldn Working from home does not do anything, Mon-Fri working day's and engineer availability etc, if you want permanent hot Broadband, and you have at least a good 4g signal then hybrid will keep you up at reduced speeds, package type purchased also determines what/where/when etc.
