Recently I have noticed my speeds have dropped across the house. Usually I would get 924.5mbps speed to hub when testing (been like this for the last year) in the EE app but recently it has been dropping as low as 720mbps. I know I have a stay fast guarantee of 700mbps and yes it hasn't fallen below this. Strangely when I power cycle the ONT and do a test again it goes back up to 924.5mbps in the app tester; within this period I’m getting full speeds again throughout the house. All Smart Wifi Pros are hardwired. Then within a couple hours the speed to the hub plummets again.

Any recommendations? ONT reset?

In hub settings the link speed is 1000mbps.

@Colesey Your service is dependant on the number of other people also connecting to the same equipment at the same time as you, so yes you will get max speeds when you first switch on, but no doubt lots of your neighbours have also taken up the FF service.

There would be something wrong ig your hub link speed was not showing 1000Mbps, as that is the speed it is connected to the ONT.

Nothing to worry about really.

Thanks for the reply @Mustrum but I still don’t think that really explains why the speed to the hub is max speed a few hours after the ONT resets. How can it be 925 for a few hours when without the reset it still would’ve been around 750 ish. Doesn’t really make sense to me.

Are you saying that the "WAN link speed:" on the Status page does not stay at 1 Gig but keeps varying?

Honestly can’t say either way as I don’t always check it. It’s the speed to the hub test within the app that varies.
