@Norbert58 : EE don't provide an email service but BT should allow you to continue using theirs.

Hello, was this successful? I am also thinking about switching to EE but my btinternet.com email address is the one that I use as a login for all of my other various online accounts. Changing it would be a pain.
I was a bit concerned by the BT “should” allow you to continue using theirs. That’s quite different from they definitely will allow it to continue.

Did you find a solution to the query, I ask because I have the same problem amd the only way I got around it was BT charging me £7.50/mth to keep my @btinternet address.

I have been paying it for nearly 2 years now.

Basically I'm **bleep**ed paying this amount for an email address when EE and BT are the same company and email addresses are normally free.

Norbert58, I cannot see your solution, if you ever gave one

@19tonyd : Nearly 2 years ago would have been before New EE BB. Since about Oct. 2023 BT has been encouraging its consumer users to transfer their BB to EE & letting them keep their BT Mail. Prior to then it would've have been a normal migration away from BT & you would've had to pay to keep your BT Mail.

Yes indeed, it would appear that XRaySpeX<span;> is correct.
As far as I can see, I'm not paying any extra fee for keeping my @btinternet.com email address. I can only assume and hope that it stays that way.

Thanks for all of your responses. Although I haven't made the change yet (I've been directing my irritation with corporations at EDF more recently), everyone I've spoken to seems to have been able to switch and not lose - or pay for - their btinternet email. From what I gather, at some point BT Group made the decision to use BT as a business-only brand and have home consumers served by EE. I think that's the change that probably removed the barrier to keeping a free btinternet email address, as it would assist BT Group in refining their BT and EE customer bases.

@19tonyd, it sounds like you've got a strong case for a refund!

When/if EDF stop annoying me I'll sort out my broadband and will post a further update here on how it all goes.

BT have just changed me over to EE. How do I manage my email addresses now? I used to have to login with my BT ID but that doesn't work any more.

@IanMK13 Have you looked on the BT Forum for e-mail information, Primary e-mail will be fine, all others and no management now.
