Not a customer but need to find a way to speak to someone at EE

A somewhat strange one but a person has signed up with EE for broadband, etc. but must have got their email address wrong as all the sales and account information is coming to me. I really need to tell EE about this but can't find a way to let them know as none of the phone options allow me to get straight through to a person.

I see this as important because these emails contain a lot of personal information, including home address, phone number and (partial) bank account information!

None of those options allow me to talk directly to a customer service person, either by phone or over chat, when I don't have an EE account.

@longsr01 : I have no trouble speaking to a BB guide by calling Opt. 2 of the Freephone no. in my sig.

@longsr01 If they got the phone number of the person correct, call it and see if someone picks up, but do check first if they tried to get EE BB before going any further, you just don't know from Adam and hopefully not a scam EE type e-mail to catch one on the Hop... If you do call hide your mobile or landline number just incase.

Well, I worked out that when selecting option 2 you need to (twice) ignore the request for the phone number and wait until it gives you more options (another three levels of menus!). However, I eventually got through to an EE customer service person and they are satisfied this is in fact a scam so they've opened a fraud investigation.

Opt 2 doesn't ask for a phone no. cuz not many BB lines have landlines as well these days.

Doubt it's fraud but a simple mistake of someone spelling their email addy wrongly.
