FTTP Coming to my area??

Hi,

I recently upgraded my broadband package to a "part fibre" connection. Since this works by the exchange im connected to using fibre and copper to my house, does this mean that I will be able to order fibre soon? Or better yet, pay for a fibre line "upgrade"?

I'm in a country area which is practically completely void of any cell or broadband service and are speeds are terrible. Further more, I am really unhappy I have to pay MORE money per month for a worse service than the houses a few 100 yards off are getting!!

Why I am paying the same if not more for what it costs for FTTP when im on copper yet the exchange has fibre!!!

What does BT Wholesale Broadband Availability Checker estimate for your phone number? Post the whole table and the line above it, blanking out your phone number. If it doesn't recognise your phone number or you don't have one, use the Address Checker.

@CentralAlexis if you enter your address in the Openreach checker it will show if there are plans to lay fibre to your property. It also gives you an option to register your interest in hearing when plans are updated.

Fibre to your property is likely to come from a larger main exchange, not a local one or from the cabinet that supplies your FTTC. Clearly this costs more to deliver to you as you are further away.

Thanks I did look at that link but it doesnt even mention the package im currently on. Ill see what @XRaySpeX says. thanks anyway

No FTTP there 😞 ! It's not a priority. That exchange doesn't have full fibre.

@CentralAlexis The BTW table shows that you are connected at 80Mbps dowload, and 16Mbps upload. It shows that Full Fibre is not yet available.

Did you find your address on the Openreach checker? I would be surprised if it does not sure speeds available, although the terminology may be different.

Did you say if they have any plans?
