I have heard varying reports of people being able to get it paid out from their EE account credit to their direct debit method, but it is by NO means guaranteed or even intended.

It is not supposed to be a cash offer and actually states "There is no cash alternative to this offer". It is supposed to be a credit towards any bills you pay to EE going forward, meaning you dont pay a bill until it has been exhausted.

Definitely best not to go for one of these switching offers if you're not in a position to be without that amount of money in the short-term.

Hello, I’m thinking of changing to we from Vodafone. I have an early exit fee from my current provider but we have said they will give a switching credit. Just wondering how that works and if they give that to my current provider or if it’s a credit on the EE bill?

Hi I have been advised that my cancellation fee from my old provider will be £315 EE said they will cover the cost for £300 but when I have looked further into this it says credit to my EE account and I want this reimbursed to my back account as it is no help on my EE app when I’ve just paid that out from my bank?

We were miss-sold this offer and told EE would cover the cost and we wouldn't have to worry about it, I confirmed this with the man who was dealing with our switch and at no point were we told that we had to pay it and then get credit to our account or we would not have swapped before our contract ended. It's been an absolute battle with EE over this and we are now out of pocket as this was not explained. Yes, I should have read the contract properly, but we were told EE would cover it. We're now in the process of trying to get the amount credited back to us, rather than on our account. But EE are less than helpful.
