No landline means you do not need to take a voice phone service, but yu do need a connection, this could be a new fibre or copper line. Hence an Openrach engineer visit is needed to provide your service.

Hi,

Just signed up for EE Broadband in my new flat because it said no landline needed. However, after signing up I get a message from EE/BT saying openreach engineer will need to attend my property. Why? I don't have a landline nor a landline/Openreach box. Will they install one? I'm confused why it doesn't need a landline to connect to EE yet they are coming out anyway. Anyone been in a similar situation?
