Wow what ever happened to rewarding customers who are loyal. went to see about leaving EE and all they could offer me as a package was the same as a new customer even though I’ve been with EE for 17 years. So to stay they won’t give any discount just same price as a new customer. Looks like I might look into sky broadband

Very vague, you may have paid £10 a month for that period. Its not about loyalty it is about economics and if you're not economic then that's it. If you were offered the same deal as a new user which is a good deal .

Thanks

A lot of companies wouldn't even offer you that on renewal.

New customer deals are usually introductory and not offered to existing customers.

I don't know why you would think you're entitled to a price that is lower than what everyone else gets on what is essentially a utility. On mobile, i might get it, but Broadband has always been different.

Grass isn't always greener, which you may discover in 2 years when you go to renew with another provider...

@dags9475 If I have this correct, you wanted a better deal than you are on as you have been a long time customer.

That is fair enough, looking to see if you can get a discount. However, EE are in the business of making money and it does not make sense for them to offer you a deal.

Otherwise they would then have some sort of scale so that everyone gets some sort of discount depending on how long they have been a customer.

At the end of the day it comes down to whether you are happy with the products/service for the price. If so, stay, if not leave.

For me with Sky, they couldn’t give me the Max router for much faster WiFi due to the Sky Q mesh system.
