Hi I have recently moved from BT to EE. My wireless printers worked fine before, but now although connected to the internet, the connection report states: A router /Access point channel conflict has been detected. If you have problems printing or scanning improve your wireless environment. One printer is next to the hub as were my tablet or phone. I tried factory resetting the printer.

Hi @Dozydora,

Welcome to the EE Community

Which EE router is it you have and what make/model of printer? Some devices may prefer connecting on the 2.4Ghz band and so I would recommend giving that a try.

Disconnect your printer, then visit http://192.168.1.254 on a device connected to your router, login and look for the option in the settings to disable the 5Ghz/6Ghz band. Once disabled then try connecting your printer up again and see if it works ok. Then login back in to re-enable the 5Ghz/6Ghz band.

Alex

@Dozydora : Which EE BB plan are you on including its speed? What EE router do you have (read its label or post a pix)?

I think you'll find the router is set to Wireless Mode = WiFi8 or WiFi7 and Security Type = WPA3 by default. Your device mayn't cope with that. If it is v. old try changing the router settings down to WiFi-5 and/or WPA2.

Try on the Advanced > Wireless Settings page to temporarily disable the 5 GHz WiFi band & move off the Smart channel while connecting problematic 2.4 GHz devices.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. I went into the router and set up a compatible network with 2.4ghz band. This has worked so far. It's all a bit strange as until recently stuff was working on the new router ok without me having to do this
