I'm not trying to fix anything, I just want to enable MAC filtering so that only devices that I add to the MAC filter can connect, rather than anyone with the password to the WiFi and you used to be able to do this through the web page but no longer can.

What I meant with not being able to connect to the WiFi was that the EE home app wasn't connecting to it, which Is the app that I am led to believe is what you use to edit the more complex router settings that you can't do through the web page.

How do you enable MAC filtering for the EE smart home hub plus? I've visited the website and the EE app and neither of those have the feature and the EE home app fails every time that I try to connect the WIFI to it. I even reset the WIFI to factory settings but I still couldn't set it up in the app. Did EE remove MAC filtering because I was able to do so on the website a few years ago?

Get hold of the latest EE app, v 5.53.1, from your app store but I don't think it offers MAC Filtering..

I'm looking at the correct app now, what feature is it applied with? I've seen old posts suggesting that it's done through the control of 'groups' but that seems to be more like parental controls than MAC filtering.
