Yh they’re doing the same with me unfortunately, they made me wait a whole month first before setting up wifi, then when it was finally set up the engineer who came to fix the wifi was absolutely rude and unprofessional, had to force myself not to deal with him myself, 4 hours after wifi being set up it went down randomly and my smart hub + started flashing orange, now they’ve cancelled literally 3 appointments in a row in the span of 3 days, now I have another booked for Friday. I don’t know what I was thinking before signing up with EE, worse mistake of my life, i certainly won’t be giving a penny until this is all sorted. This is an absolute joke.

Because they didn’t have an engineer available to set up the WiFi? I ordered new wifi on 10th December and it was set up on the 13th of January, and the issue isn’t with the signal, the issue is with the wiring, the previous engineer left it all loose and in a mess, he was so unprofessional he didn’t even fix the new ones like they’re suppose to from outside the home, nor did he screw the box. Both EE and open reach are blaming one another meanwhile I am missing out on wifi which I need because I work from home, my siblings do uni and college work, my dad has cancer and we can’t even do his applications from home because we are applying for PIP etc we have to go to a friends home. This is absolute terrible service from EE.

WiFi comes from your Smart Hub router as a radio signal.

If you keep telling everyone your WiFi doesn’t work, then they will take you at your word.

Sounds to me more like you have an issue with your internet connection. Maybe you should contact EE Customer Service and re-present the problem but this time use the correct terminology because having issues with WiFi is a real thing, and a completely different thing that what you appear to be describing.

Good luck.

I’ve clearly stated in my very first comment that the open reach engineer didn’t set up the wifi properly hence why it doesn’t work, no I don’t know what language I need to speak for you to understand? And the issue is actually in the wifi signals itself because I have full fibre 500 essential deal, promised speeds were 425 and I was getting less than 200 for the 5 or so hours the wifi was working for, both EE network and open reach services are awful.

WiFi doesn’t come flying out of nowhere does it? You set up a router, modem etc first then the wifi connection is established, and as I mentioned for the 3rd time now there been a issue in the set up process and open reach are taking forever to give a appointment, and when they do they cancel it, also the wifi signal strange WAS weak because I have full fibre 500 package and my speeds were below 200 when it was working for a few hours. So that makes the WIFI signal weak or am i missing something?

They didn’t bother to even ask what’s wrong with the router, the first thing they did was tell me they’ll send out a engineer, one thing that doesn’t make sense is that the engineer fixed it on the 13th of January and it was working for a few hours, then it suddenly started flashing orange, if the fault was with open reach’s set up then it wouldn’t have worked for those few hours? Unless a wire has been displaced from the outside because of the wind. But I’ll never know until EE or open reach’s actually come to fix the wifi.
