Also depending on the router there is a facility in the app that does it for you.

However do rember to make a note of the SSID and password as it will no longer match the one on the card on the back of the router.

Many Thanks

So if I plug my router into my laptop just to change the WiFi settings of the hub it should be fine? Im sure I did it before, I have the original sticker for the SSID & Pass they are set up on. Its just I'm "changing" from BT to EE..well, upgrading as they are essentially the same company now. Its just I have about 7 smart bulbs etc. I only live in a one bed flat, but I'm used to the laziness now and don't want to have to go back to using light switches like a caveman. Lol.

Remember to hit the save, when you make changes.

NOT the same company EE is EE, BT is BT, just all part of the same group, and EE now to be consumer division, BT to do the Business end...

Yes, but you could let the app do it for you instead of manually.

But there’s just the 2 of us with a fairly small network of a dozen or so WiFi devices, and half of those are Alexas which are click once one has been added, so 🤷🏼

TBH I wasn’t even aware there was an app feature which did it.

Hey there @Manuker, you can make these changes both through the EE App if this is paired with your Hub, or also via the Hub Manager too.

You can find all the details you need on how to do this here:
