@Samjw1 What EE Router do you have? If the latest then there is NOTHING for you to change in the router, IF your FTTP service is active which you would have been advised at the Installation side, then all that is required is the Swap out the cable disconnecting the DSL side, and if you did not have one, then EE would have sent you a Ethernet cable to plug from your new ONT to the WAN connection on the EE Router. The DSL cable becomes redundant and can go back in the box.

If you have a BT router then let us know.

I have an EE router which has a WAN port

I have I have plugged the new cable in from the ONT to the WAN port

but my router is still using the DSL port and the WAN port won’t work

I have accessed the hub manager and I can see on the connection status it still says DSL port access. The connection needs to be changed to WAN port so my service can actually work

Do you know which options I chose EE hub manager to get this change ?

All lights are green on the ONT

engineer tested the line last week which came back all good , with good light

but the issue is my router still thinks it’s using the DSL port not the WAN port

I have been informed I need to access the 192.168.1.254 hub manager to change the connection status WAN port but don’t know the correct options to choose

So I was hoping someone on this forum room would know

It is AUTOMATIC.

If your FTTP service is working then it connects, the Installer SHOULD have done, checked, plugged your router in made sure the FTTP was live, your fttc connection is then dropped and of it goes.

If it does not work then you have a FAILED fttp install, lights on the ONT mean nothing if OR/EE have NOT done there part correct.

Let us know after you have made a cuppa how that goes.
