Hi, yes I’m trying to set-up my printer so I can print from my I-phone but
the wi-fi icon has got an asterisk at the side of it and says limited
connection. And that’s connecting it straight from the router by Ethernet
cable, and also by trying it through wi-fi.

Normally in such cases, each individual device will connect separately to your router - with the printer software doing the rest. Presumably it's the printer that has an Ethernet connection and your phone the wireless one.

Can you perform other internet-based functions on your phone, such as browsing web pages?
