I've got a BT EasiCom 1000 land line phone I've used for years.

I've gone to VOIP on my EE router, and the phone doesnt work correctly.

I can make outgoing calls no problem, but incoming calls are rejected at the callers end.

For example, it I call my home number from a mobile, I get either "rejected by server" or "server error",

or the call just ends.

Plugging in my BT DECT (Truecall) base alone, it works without a problem.

Any ideas?

Hi Jim, sorry for late reply.

It's plugged into the green phone port on the back of the hub plus. As I say, a BT DECT phone
works perfectly.

I'm not interested in making outgoing calls, EE charge extortionate amounts for calls. (need to
route outgoing calls via a mobile) Better still, drop the landline altogether!!

Cheers

VOIP phones are all about the software and data, Phone port on the back off the hub is basically just an analogue output for a standard phone connection, dect although a standard lots of companies try to stretch special features that become phone dependant so some work better than others, just the name off the game!

Seems to be some confusion here, the Easicom is no VOIP phone. https://telephonesuk.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2020/10/Easicom_1000.pdf

@Tillmechanic have you got battery's and/or the ac adapter in the phone.

Can't remember much about these but would have though as a basic phone it would work, but not some of the other features.

Edit = link fixed.

It's an ordinary corded phone, not VOIP, & should plug into back of router & work just as well as the BT DECT (Truecall) base does.

@Mustrum : Your Easicom link points nowhere.
