topic Manually choose which WiFi Smart Plus a device connects to? - Apple HomePod in Broadband & Landline

I have EE Broadband WiFi with 3 of the Smart Plus extenders. Network generally runs well.

I bought an Apple HomePod a few days ago and it has been constantly dropping in and out of the WiFi network. It seems to be attempting to connect to a distant Smart Plus across the home when there is one a few feet away.

Is there any way to choose how a device connects to the network? Point it to the Hub or one of the extenders specifically?

Any other suggestions of changes I could make in the hub manager to make a more solid connection to this device?

Thanks in advance guys.

@Pepe12345 The home pod can not be configured to connect to a specific location. When I had an extender my Apple TV downstairs would connect this and it was upstairs and the router was in the same room as the Apple TV. You could try powering down that extender and see if the HomePod connects to a different one but the HomePod might just reconnect when you switch it back on. You could even try moving the closest extender further away to see if that helps.

Pity homepod does not have a nic on it.
